Ana Endara
Ana Endara is a filmmaker. She holds a degree in Social Sciences from Florida State University and studied Film Directing at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión de Cuba (EICTV). For your peace of mind, Make Your Own Museum, a documentary directed with Pilar Moreno, is her most recent work, had its world premiere at the IDFA Envision Competition 202 and has won numerous awards. Her documentary, The Joy of Sound(2016), premiered in the IDFA Medium-length Documentary Competition. Along with her previous films Curundú (2007) and Reinas (2013), Ana's work shares different perspectives on Panamanian society, raising intriguing questions, and exploring the sense of belonging. Since 2012, Ana has been a videographer at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, where she collaborates to communicate the science to the public. Ana will soon be shooting her first feature-length fiction film, entitled Querido Trópico, a project that won first place in the Panama Film Production Fund (DICINE) 2021. Born in Panama, she lives and works in Panama.
