Emilie McDonald is an award-winning NYC-based film director and writer who graduated from Vassar with a BA in film and drama. She recently co-wrote and directed her first feature film Queen Anne’s Lace, a narrative hybrid feature which was produced by Caitlin Mae Burke and executive produced by Gill Holland. It is currently in the final stages of post and is poised for a 2017 release. She is developing several features including Punch City, Buckle My Soul (semifinalist TAA, Creative Capital; participant Indie Film Clinic) and Florescent Mesa. Emilie’s shorts include Muck (Best Narrative Short, IndieMemphis; BAMcinemaFest), Crossing the River (Best Ensemble Cast Award at NYC Downtown Short Film Festival; Best Short, NUHO Online Film Festival), Other People’s Houses (2011), and My Elena (2010). Emilie has served on festival juries and spoken on panels about crowdfunding, social issue films and more.
