Jessie McCormack is a native New Yorker and a graduate of Brown University. Coming from a background in theater, her first play SPINE, which she acted in, was produced in New York City and Los Angeles. Excerpts from SPINE were published in THE BEST WOMEN'S MONOLOGUES from Applause Books. Jessie also performed in her most recent play, JOURNEY TO DOLLYWOOD, for which Dolly Parton recorded a voice-over. Jessie was a staff writer on ABC's single camera/half-hour comedy, JAKE IN PROGRESS. Following that she wrote, directed, and acted in THE ANTAGONIST, an award-winning 35 mm short film. Her feature directorial debut, EXPECTING, which she also wrote and produced, premiered at the 2013 SXSW Film Festival, and stars Michelle Monaghan (THE PATH, TRUE DETECTIVE) and Radha Mitchell (MELINDA AND MELINDA, HIGH ART), with Richard N. Gladstein (THE HATEFUL EIGHT, FINDING NEVERLAND) serving as Executive Producer. EXPECTING went on to receive a limited theatrical domestic release as well as foreign distribution. Jessie is currently in post-production on her London-based culture-clash comedy/web series PISS OFF, I LOVE YOU, inspired by her time living in the U.K.
