Lucy’s first self-financed, micro-budget feature film HOT MESS is set for eagerly anticipated release in 2018. It has been selected for FOR FILM SAKE Film Festival in Syndey and it’s first big North American Festival Premiere in May. The film is produced by Lyn Norfor (UNDERTOW) and Sheila Jayadev (ALI’S WEDDING) of Emerald Productions. The all at once heartwarming, yet brutally raw and irreverent, subversive coming-of age tale, debut’s Lucy cinematic voice with a bang. In 2017 Lucy set to work on her follow-up project, (with HOT MESS lead actress, emerging comedian Sarah Gaul,) - online series ON THE FRINGE. Building upon her fresh comedic tone, the series follows the backstage lives of two up-and-coming comedians Sarah and Jacinta. It launched online 21st Nov 2017 and is garnering a fantastic industry and audience response. It’s has been selected for it’s first UK premiere at Pilot Light TV Festival in Manchester in May! In 2014, Lucy graduated from AFTRS in Screenwriting, and in 2013, her Masters of Creative Writing from Sydney University. During her late teens and early twenties Lucy was heavily involved in the ATYP (Australian Theatre for Young People) as a writer and actor, being involved in countless productions and an active member of their youth advisory panel. Lucy was awarded a scholarship placement at ATYP’s National Young Writers Studio in 2014 for taking out their new voices competition with her short film HOT KEBAB GUY.
