Megan Clare Foster was born in Detroit, Michigan and received her B.A. in Cinema and Photography with a specialization in Film Production from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She started her career as a video and film editor in Chicago and Detroit where she worked in post-production of national commercials for ten years. This gave Megan a solid foundation in understanding timing, tone, and structure to enhance storytelling.

Megan produced and directed her original screenplay, Stealing Roses, into a comedy-drama feature film in 2012, which became an official selection of the LA Femme Film Festival, Carmel Art & Film Festival, POWFest (Portland Oregon Women’s Film Festival) and The LA Comedy Film Festival where it won 3 prizes: Best Feature, Best Actor and Best Actress. Stealing Roses starred actor John Heard (Big, Home Alone) and actress Cindy Williams (Laverne & Shirley). The film received domestic and international distribution.

Exploring the pitfalls and triumphs of human nature, Megan is a writer and filmmaker who reaches out to make us think and experience a wide range of emotions through her unique voice. She especially enjoys giving us a relatable perspective on our daily lives. Consistently creating strong characters, with a sharp ear for dialogue found in her films, Megan’s meaningful and mirthful writing delivers stories we can savor and enjoy.

Megan is the owner of the production company Foster On Media LLC.
