Rainy Kerwin is the writer-director-producer and stars in the upcoming feature film, The Wedding Invitation. She was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Winnipeg, Canada, playing girls’ ice hockey & softball.

"I wrote The Wedding Invitation with the goal of creating great comedic roles for women. There was a real lack of funny roles for women out there.” The Wedding Invitation will premiere at the 2016, 21st annual Palm Beach International Film Festival and has been nominated for best feature film, and then will go on to screen at the Manhattan Film Festival in NYC.

Rainy studied acting at Playhouse West, Manitoba Theater Center & The Universtiy of Manitoba. She studied improv at the Groundlings and performed weekly at The LA Connection. She was a founding member of the all-female comedy troupe, The Fluffers.

Rainy is an actors’ director and loves working with talent. She’s worked as an acting coach at The Playground (a young actor's conservatory), for the past 8 years. She is the founder of It’s Raining Films, the production company behind The Wedding Invitation & the platform BuyWomen.com -- a site dedicated to driving audiences to see more films by women. A lover of all things funny, Rainy is known as a bit of a prankster.
