Victoria Linares is a multi awarded dominican filmmaker whose interests lay in telling queer stories regarding transgenerational trauma and sociopolitical oppression. Her shorts have screened at New Orleans Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, Shorts México, AMOR Festival Internacional de Cine LGBT+, among others.

Her debut non fiction film "It Runs in the Family" has been official selection at True/False, BFI Flare, BAFICI, Outfest LA, Guanajuato International Film Festival. The film has won best documentary in the national premiere of the film at Fine Arts Film Festival RD 2022 and Best New Director by the Youth Jury at the Vancouver Latin American Film Festival.
