From an early age Yara has always had a passion for storytelling. Not realizing it then, she started directing at an early age when she would create skits, dances, and audio recordings with her childhood friends and siblings. Yara studied acting for many years and has been mentored by LA's best, Robert Carnegie, Doug Warhit, and Jeff Goldblum to name a few. Having this experience is what strengthens her directing skills. She learned the craft of filmmaking by doing it hands on. She spent many years on various sets as a second unit director, first assistant director, producer, and script supervisor.
"Demise" is a feature film, an erotic thriller/film noir that will be coming out in 2023. This is Yara's directorial debut in which she also wrote and produced. Yara aims to direct more films, and would love to be considered for your next project!
