The daughter of Korean immigrants, Alice left her hometown Ovilla, Texas to attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. While immersed in the world of science, biotech, and the dot-com era, she began to write and make films. Alice’s short film, ANA’S TIME premiered at the 2008 Atlanta Film Festival and has also been seen at the Provincetown International Film Festival and the Anthology Film Archives, NYC. In 2008, she founded rustrainfilms with a mission to create preternatural films inspired by places and environments either real or metaphorical. Alice most recently wrote and directed the short film, POISONBERRY, with funding from the Brooklyn Arts Council NYSCA, DCA regrant programs and the Jerome Foundation. She is currently in development on a feature film titled THE PLAINS OF ARNING.
