Donna Wheeler is a director and writer based in Los Angeles, CA. Her first feature, the crime mockumentary Death of a Saleswoman, stars an ensemble comedic cast. It released in both U.S. and international markets, selling foreign at the Cannes Film Festival. It’s proven itself to be an award-winning film, including winning Best Directing and Best Feature accolades along with several nominations while on the festival circuit.

Wheeler also directed and wrote professionally for Walt Disney Studios directing a series of scripted projects, and directed field segments for Oprah's OWN Network. Wheeler was selected as 1 of 5 directors in Canon's ShootOut Competition, directing a short film based on one of her own feature length scripts. She additionally directs Theatre.

Along with directing, Wheeler also works in production and post production for network and cable television including PBS, The History Channel, A&E Networks, Disney/Polygram, The Travel Channel, ABC, CBS and Paramount studios. She co-produced the indie feature drama Better Half, and was a director, executive producer and staff writer on a streaming episodic series, COUPLETS.

Wheeler’s screenplays have been finalists and semifinalists in the Academy Nicholl Fellowships competition, the Slamdance screenplay competition, Sundance Filmmaker Labs, Film Independent Labs, as well as received best screenplay and audience awards at Female Eye Film Fest, Beverly Hills Film Festival, LA Femme Film Festival and Austin.
