Emily Troedson founded Goat Song Films where she currently serves as president. Her debut feature, BLUE BALLOONS, which she also wrote, produced, acted in, and edited, premiered at the Twin Cities Film Fest in October 2017 and was an Honorable Mention at the Rahway International Film Festival. She won the Woman in Film Award at the CARE Film Festival for her work on the film, and the script was named a quarter-finalist for the Act One Screenplay Competition.

She began her filmmaking career as an actor and over the past decade has appeared in numerous commercials, features, and television shows, most notably the popular series, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, the Cannes selected short film, ENDS RUNWAY, and the forthcoming feature from Joel Novoa, THE NANNY, in which she performed with Schuyler Fisk. A graduate of Bethel University, Emily received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a concentration in Film Studies and Secondary Education and briefly taught mythology and film at the nationally recognized Irondale High School.

She was the Production Manager for the award-winning animation studio, Sparkhouse, whose children's special, THE STORY OF CHRISTMAS, was a finalist for Best Animation at the International Family Film Festival at Raleigh Studios. She’s currently developing her next feature—a dark, mythological follow-up to her debut that deals with similar themes of grief, loss, and identity. She lives in Los Angeles, CA, with her husband and their dog.
