Francine Michelle is a writer/director that has studied and used the techniques of Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg, Sanford Meisner, Uta Hagen, Constantin Stanislavski, Anne Bogart, and Viola Spolin. All of this training has morphed into her own unique style of directing that caters to each actors’ specific needs. Francine was selected to be a part of the inaugural class in the Directing program at the University of Michigan and studied at the Lee Starsberg Institute in New York. She was the youngest ever Director Member of the famed Actor’s Studio. Francine has worked with actors and taught around the country at The Columbia Gorge School of Theatre in Washington, The New York Film Academy at Universal Studios, The Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles, as well as internationally at a special Acting for Film course in Salerno, Italy. In addition to directing plays in various venues throughout Los Angeles, Francine has filmed and edited for artists big and small, including Ice T. Her first feature, Desertion, stars Kim Rhodes (Suite Life of Zack and Cody), Brian Krause (Charmed), Robert Maschio (Scrubs), Bart Johnson (High School Musical), and Patricia Belcher (Bones).
