Jill Campbell

Jill began her career running lines with Morgan Freeman at the Public Theatre. She’s worked as a producer, director, and writer on documentaries that have appeared in over 30 festivals including Atlanta, American Black FF, Martha's Vineyard, Miami, Montclair, Sarasota, Seattle, Tribeca, and Warsaw. Jill directed, produced and wrote THE HAMLET OF CANFIELD GARDENS about her mentor, British writer Bernard Kops which premiered at the Jewish Museum in London. She’s been a recipient of a scholarship to Killer Films/Stony Brook Southampton's 20/20/20 film program where she directed and wrote the narrative short AFTER TOMORROW under the helm of legendary producer Christine Vachon. Jill’s also a playwright with work produced at many stages around the world. She was awarded a Residency with Mabou Mines Theatre Company where her play THE LOST BOX OF UTOPIA was developed. She’s been an invited participant in CBS Writers’ Daytime Development Program. Jill directed, produced and wrote MR. CHIBBS about NBA All-Star/NYC prodigy Kenny Anderson. The film premiered at DOCNYC, was acquired by Abramorama and screened at festivals and theatrically at the IFC Center and Alamo Draft House. Jill’s a candidate for her MFA at Hunter College. She works as a freelance director, producer, and writer. She has several projects in development including AFTER TOMORROW, a coming of age story about a millennial who quits life and retires to her grandmother's condo in Boca Raton, Florida. (PGA)
