Judith Ehrlich, is currently directing The Mouse that Roared, a feature documentary focusing on the struggle for free speech in cyberspace. The central character is an Icelandic “poetician”, founder of their Pirate Party and former spokesperson for WikiLeaks who is favored as the country’s unconventional Prime Minister. Ehrlich is also in production on The Boys Who Said NO! The story of the young men who resisted the draft during the Vietnam War, and served hard time in federal prison for their beliefs. In Spring, 2015 Ehrlich directed a short doc for The Institute for Public Accuracy, Invisible Man, Jeffrey Sterling, CIA Whistle Blower. Judith Ehrlich co-produced and co-directed the 2009 Academy Award Nominated film, The Most Dangerous Man in America, Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers. It won the Peabody Award, all major history film awards and 13 international festival awards including the Special Jury prize at IDFA. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and grossed $500,000 at the box office, opening in over 100 cities. It was an ITVS program broadcast on POV/PBS twice, and sold to 14 international TV networks. Ehrlich co-produced and directed the ITVS documentary, The Good War and Those Who Refused to Fight It, a story of men guided by principle to take the unpopular position of pacifism during World War II. It received a National Program Service broadcast on all PBS stations and won numerous film festival awards.
