Laetitia Jacquart is a documentary filmmaker, editor and educator based in Oakland, CA.
In 2007, she co-founded a film platform and collective of visual artists ETCaetera based in Paris. Since then she directed or collaborated as an editor or assistant director on multiple media projects including short fiction films, essays, documentaries and cross-media exhibitions. After a Master’s degree at the Doc School of Lussas in France, her documentary work explores themes of transformation, exile, immigration or life in the margins, from the underserved Roma communities in France to the immigrants experiences on Angel Island in the early twentieth century. Her first feature documentary L’Aire was screened in festivals in France and abroad. Her last short film Swan was recently shown at the 2018 SF DocFest and DocLands and Cinequest. She is currently in post production on a short hybrid essay film called Angel Islands as well as in production for her second feature film based in San Francisco's Tenderloin.
