Liza Davitch is a Director, Producer, and Editor whose work has been shown at the Montreal World Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival, Rhode Island International Film Festival, New York Independent International Film Festival, Walker Art Center, Minneapolis/St. Paul International Film Festival, and on public television. Her documentaries have included an investigation of the after-effects of the Chernobyl nuclear tragedy on children in Belarus, and portraits of families in America and Eastern Europe. Her film grants and awards include a Fulbright Scholarship to research documentary in Lodz, Poland, a Bush Foundation Artist Fellowship, Jerome Foundation Media Arts and Travel Grants, and Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Fellowships. She is currently the director/producer and editor of a feature documentary, “ Czar of Cinema".
