MC is a documentary filmmaker who has worked in film, television, journalism & digital production for 13 years. She is a Director/Producer who released her first independent short film, A Mighty Man: The Father Gerry Roche Story, about an Irish missionary who was murdered in Kenya, in 2012. For 7 years, Mary Catherine split her time between NYC and Ireland, working on documentary tv programs for CBS, HBO, CNN, PBS, Lifetime, A&E, IFC in the U.S., and TV3, RTE, SKY AND TG4 in Ireland. MC has directed & produced countless digital documentaries, including Through Roma Eyes (Storyful), Punk Economics, and several stories for HuffPost and IrishCentral. She directed an 8-episode travel show along Ireland's coast, (Kenny Wild/Sky TV), and a documentary program about adolescent latin dancers (Dedicated to Dance/TV3). Over the years, she has worked on documentaries with award-winning directors Michael Moore, Lauren Greenfield and Julie Cohen. Since then, she returned to her native New York. Most recently she produced an episode of television about systemic racism featuring Soledad O'Brien (Disrupt & Dismantle/BET). ​She earned her BA at Harvard, and her MS at Columbia.
