Myra Paci is a writer/director whose films include her award-winning debut feature Searching for Paradise, developed at the Sundance Institute’s Screenwriting and Directing Labs, starring Chris Noth, Susan May Pratt, and Jeremy Davies, distributed by Sundance Channel Home Entertainment/ Showtime Entertainment; Girls Night Out, starring Rosario Dawson, distributed on the Sundance Channel; and Transeltown, part of the Joanie 4 Jackie Archive at The Getty Research Institute, and distributed by Co-Star Tapes in the U.S. and Cinenova in Europe. Her work has received support from the National Endowment for the Humanities, Middlebury Script Lab at Bread Loaf, MacDowell Colony, San Francisco Film Society’s FilmHouse, Voice and Vision Theatre’s Envision Residency at Bard College, New York Theatre Workshop, South Carolina Arts Commission, and Chicago’s Millennium Park “In the Works” Series. With her production companies, Casa Madre Films and SLAP Agency, she has created numerous videos for such clients as AAA, Kaiser Permanente, Intel, Lending Club, Schwab, and The San Francisco YMCA, and recommends you don’t miss her web series Bad Muthaz. Paci lives in Berkeley, CA and has taught screenwriting and directing at San Francisco State University and has lectured at Yale University, New York University, California College of the Arts, and Boston’s Institute of Contemporary Art. Paci received a B.A. in History from Yale University, and an M.F.A. in Film/Video Production from N.Y.U.
