Nnegest Likké is a multi-award-winning filmmaker and one of the 1st women-of-color to write & direct a feature distributed by a major Hollywood studio. Her debut film was Fox Searchlight's cross-cultural comedy, "Phat Girlz", starring Academy Award Winner Mo'Nique, followed by "Ben & Ara" which won an African Movie Academy Award. Her recently released internationally-themed, festival award-winning romantic-comedy-drama "Everything But A Man" debuted on Netflix as a #1 hit in Africa, and she is currently in post on a feature documentary shot in Ethiopia. With her success, Nnegest feels responsible to use her voice for positive change. She's a proud Bay Area native with a bi-cultural background and has a passion for telling funny, feel-good, thought-provoking stories that are socially and culturally impactful.
