Talia Lugacy's debut feature "Descent" starring Rosario Dawson premiered in competition at the Tribeca Film Festival, released theatrically by Warner Independent and City Lights Media. Despite an NC-17 rating "Descent" was championed by The New York Times as "essential to see, a vividness never seen in an American film" hailing "Ms. Lugacy's adventurous direction and Ms. Dawson's imaginative performance, equal to Robert DeNiro in Taxi Driver". Ms. Lugacy is currently in development on her second feature, "The Sandbox", which is a mysterious look at combat trauma through the eyes of two veterans of different wars. Ms. Lugacy has directed and produced numerous commercials with Mark Ruffalo for his environmental initiative Water Defense, and many other non-profit environmental groups. She has worked for Paramount in LA and NY, Nickelodeon, NBC, New Line, Warner Bros., and Independent Pictures and Greenestreet Films.
