Stacey Petrov is a producer from Staten Island, New York. She got her Bachelor of Arts in Cinema Studies and Bachelor of Science in Communications from the College of Staten Island. She holds a Masters in Producing from the New York Film Academy. During her college years, Stacey has produced student and independent short films as well as wrote the short script, Princess Lady, which was an official selection in five film festivals and placed in three film festivals. After college, Stacey completed the MPii Story Development internship, where she learned about the story process from idea to creation. At the end of the internship, she became a part of a team that collaborated in creating a Professional Screenwriting Fellowship for aspiring screenwriters. Serving as a senior fellow, she provides ongoing support to her collaborators and mentorship to the participants in the program. Her experience in production, training in story development, educational background, and passion in film serves as the combination that drives her to strive for perfection in her work.Stacey specializes in character driven stories that bring a romanticization to the mundane and everyday life, with a focus on interpersonal relationships and the unique contributions the different relationships bring.
