Anita Aloisio is a filmmaker and scholar. She holds a BA in Communications Studies and a Masters in Media Studies. Her work examines issues of immigration, language and politics specific to Canadian society. Her previous films, Straniera come Donna and Les enfants de la loi 101, are reflection of these dynamics. She explores the creative process of artists belonging to the Italian Diaspora and has coined the “Transmemoric Process” theory. A solicited speaker, Anita is currently completing her third documentary film, Calliari, QC (to be completed in 2019), and working on her culinary video and literary travel log, Basilicata Secrets.
