Bonnie Kathleen Ryan is a director and screenwriter. Her feature directorial debut, Grandma’s House, screened during the 2018 SXSW Film Festival, receiving distribution with indie legend Robert Rodriguez’s El Rey Network. El Ray also acquired Ryan’s award-winning short Three Legged Dog. A former award-winning actress who now spends most of her time behind the lens, audiences may recognize Ryan as a recent contestant on Rodriguez’s 2018 reality series Rebel Without a Crew. Ryan is a 2018 recipient of the South Carolina Indie Grant - which financed her darkly comic and award-winning script, GraceLand, starring Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect), Daniel Eric Gold (Ugly Betty), and Monique Coleman (High School Musical) - among other major Award and festival wins. She is an alum of Boston University’s College of Fine Arts and the Moscow Art Theater School.
