Loveleen Kaur

Loveleen Kaur is a Toronto-based Producer and Director with a special focus on Documentary storytelling. She founded the production company, A Missing Peace Productions in 2021 to highlight QTBIPoC Voices. Loveleen's first feature documentary film, Leilani's Fortune had its world premiere at the Inside Out Film Festival in Toronto, 2023 at the TIFF Bell Lightbox. Leilani's Fortune won the EOne Audience Award - Best Documentary Feature. The documentary features the dynamic, independent musician - Witch Prophet. Loveleen's first short documentary film, Behind The Fare (2016) premiered at the Mayworks Arts and Labour Festival and participated in pitch competitions at Hot Docs, RIDM, and Reel World. Loveleen holds an Honours BA in Political Science and an MA in Cultural Studies. In her free time, Loveleen can be found at dog parks with her pups and contemplating completing the 1,000 piece Frida Kahlo puzzle she started in 2020. Leilani's Fortune has played in festivals across three countries including Reeling (Chicago), Out on Film (Atlanta), Cinema Diverse (Palm Springs) and most recently at the Oscar-qualifying, Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah as part of the Unstoppable program.
