Suzanne Misako Saltz
Suzanne is a television director with an unwavering focus on extracting powerful performances that resonate with audiences. Whether behind the camera or guiding a scene from the director's chair, her goal is always to deliver authentic, impactful narratives that leave a lasting impression.
Her deep love for film began when she was a camper at Space Camp, when the sci-fi adventure movie Space Camp was being filmed at the Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama in the late 80s. Even as a political science major, Suzanne continued her arts education in theatre at the University of California, Los Angeles, attending classes on Acting Fundamentals, Theater Production and Performance, and Technical Theater and Film Production Laboratory.
With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the nuances of performance, Suzanne is adept at drawing out those pivotal moments that define compelling television. Moreover, her experience as a First Assistant Director has provided her with a unique perspective on the intricacies of production, allowing her to navigate the complexities of pre-production and the set with confidence and precision.
Suzanne is an active member of the Director's Guild of America, Alliance of Women Directors, Film Fatales, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and is co-chair for the Space Camp Alumni Association Board.
