Bio
Linda Shayne is a DGA director and WGA writer (American/Canadian dual citizen.) Shayne graduated with highest honors from the University of California at Berkeley. Received a federal grant to study adult autism and has published work on ex-offenders from San Quentin State Prison. Shayne has written for QUINCY JONES' QDE, IMAGINE, SHOWTIME and Shayne directed MIRROR IMAGE a suspense thriller that won Best Thriller at the HRFF 2020 and a Directing Award at the Freedom Festival Intl..
Shayne's feature script won Best Feature Screenplay at the London NRFF film festival 2020 and won the top writing prize at the Florence Film Festival and was a Top 10 Finalist at CINEQUEST 2020. Shayne has directed one camera episodic for NICKELODEON. She began by directing a family feature film starring Thora Birch and Neil Patrick Harris and she directed a comedy for Donald Kushner, filmed in Romania released by PARAMOUNT. Shayne directed "Undercover Kid" filmed in Utah released by WARNER BROS. and on HBO Family.
Shayne created a TV series for Quincy Jones' QDE and has written for DISNEY, IMAGINE ENT. and SHOWTIME. Shayne has developed movies for SHOWTIME, MUSE ENT. of Montreal, X-FILME of Germany and PATRIOT ENTERTAINMENT. Shayne was hired to research and create a T V series for film in Thailand and while there she was hired to write, direct and produce a documentary about a Thai tycoon. The 35 min documentary Being Anne: A Conversation of Transformation has won several awards at film festivals worldwide.
Shayne recently completed writing a rom-com movie for Chai SF Ent. and wrote a thriller one hour TV pilot, now being shopped. Shayne recently was honored to serve as a Judge for the Content Asia Awards and the Big Apple Film Festival.
