Vivian Kerr is an LA-based actor, writer, director, and producer with her company Rue Dangeau. Her most recent project, the pilot Soft Boil, was selected for the 2026 Sundance Film Festival and 2026 Slamdance Film Festival.
Scrap, her feature debut, co-starring Anthony Rapp and Lana Parrilla, world premiered in competition at the Deauville-American Film Festival and went on to screen in 44 film festivals worldwide and won 23 awards before becoming "certified fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes with a 98% rating. Her second feature, Séance, a Victorian Gothic thriller shot by DP Johanna Coelho (HBO MAX's The Pitt), recently screened at the Newport Beach Film Festival, Dances with Films, and Fantaspoa and won Best Narrative Feature at Beaufort International Film Festival.
As a writer, she won the 2024 Austin Film Festival Drama Teleplay Pilot Award for her historical drama The Mitfords, out of more than 10,000 entries. Her pilot, Five Points, about the female-led gangs of 19th-century New York, was accepted into Sony Pictures TV’s Rising Storytellers Search, Stowe Story Lab, the Story Incubator Writing Lab, the Moonshot Initiative Pilot Accelerator, and was recently included on the 2025 Women's List.
She specializes in collaborating with other multi-hyphenates, crafting a unique visual style for each project that centers performance and thematic impact.
