Natasha Kermani

A graduate of NYU’s Film & Television Program, Natasha Kermani is a writer and director currently based in LA. Natasha’s credits includes science-fiction feature film Imitation Girl, which was recently acquired by Epic Pictures as a part of their inaugural Dread Central Presents slate. Short form work includes Lewis Black’s web series The Mentors (for which she won Best Director at the NYC Web Fest), and commercial content for clients including Microsoft, Redken, Vision Research, Cole Haan, and Third Love. Kermani was also the director for The Wkshp (2013-2015), a non-profit workshop that focused on scene work and rehearsal techniques for NYC based actors, writers and directors. She has spoken on a variety of panels discussing women in the arts, including a recent event for Women in Film. Outside film and television, Natasha is a violinist and composer who enjoys playing live shows with local bands and ensembles. Natasha’s Iranian-American heritage, her interest in female-led stories, and her love of genre filmmaking all converge in her work - a lyrical exploration of how we experience the world around us.
