Nnegest Likké is a multi-award-winning filmmaker and one of the 1st women-of-color to write & direct a feature distributed by a major Hollywood studio. Her debut film was Fox Searchlight's cross-cultural comedy, "Phat Girlz", starring Academy Award Winner Mo'Nique, followed by "Ben & Ara" which won an African Movie Academy Award. Her upcoming, internationally-themed, festival award-winning romantic-comedy-drama "Everything But A Man" is out to distributors, and she just signed on to helm an international adoption thriller based on a true story for Sixth Sense Productions. With her success, Nnegest feels responsible to use her voice for positive change. She's a proud Bay Area native with a bi-cultural background and has a passion for telling funny, feel-good, thought-provoking stories that are socially and culturally impactful.
