Rita Baghdadi is a Moroccan-American film director whose character-driven work has been supported by Tribeca, ITVS, Netflix and the International Documentary Association. Rita’s debut feature documentary MY COUNTRY NO MORE earned her a fellowship from Film Independent in 2015, won Best Feature at the 2018 Big Sky Documentary Film Festival and was picked up for broadcast by Independent Lens. Rita is also an accomplished Director of Photography, having shot several documentary features including SERVED LIKE A GIRL which premiered at SXSW in 2017, was released theatrically across the U.S. and is now streaming on Amazon. Rita earned a Bachelor’s in Film from Columbia College Chicago, she is co-founder of Endless Eye, a production studio in Los Angeles, and when she’s not filming Rita is an active mentor, dedicated to empowering women and girls through film training.
