Ruth Du is a writer, director and producer, originally from Portland, Oregon. Ruth attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a Film/TV Production degree and a Metropolitan Studies minor. In 2008, Ruth directed a music video for popular Irish band The Coronas which was on daily television rotation in Ireland. Ruth’s short narrative films “Six ‘55” and “Floria’s Sunday” were both in film festival in Los Angeles and New York City including the Manhattan Film Festival in 2012 and LA Short Film Festival in 2013. Ruth directed the award winning webseries “Seeking” in 2013 that had a successful two season run in various web series film festivals around the country. In 2016, Ruth produced the independent feature film “The Archer” starring Bailey Noble (True Blood), Jeanine Mason (So You Think You Can Dance), Michael Grant Terry (Bones)and Bill Sage (Hap and Leonard) with a World Premiere SXSW 2017. She recently produced a series of short films for Indigenous Media’s ProjectHER incubator including “Good Eggs” directed by Maria Burton and starring Bethany Joy Lenz (One Tree Hill, Dexter), Neil Jackson (Sleepy Hollow) and Erik Palladino (ER, Suits). Her feature film “YOUR BABY IS MINE” recently premiered on Lifetime Movie Network.
