Jasmin Tarasin is an award-winning film director that works across narrative, documentary, art installation and commercial content.. Jasmin's directorial debut - The Closet Tales of Australian Fashion ,was a documentary series commissioned by SBS Television and Screen Australia - on the artistic process of fashion designers. She also directed a documentary for ABC1 entitled Utopia Girls, the history of women's rights in Australia.Jasmin's large-scale video installation Live (2010) commissioned for Sydney Festival and funded by Film Victoria, featured musicians including Jarvis Cocker, Martha and Rufus Wainwright, Feist, Warren Ellis,and many more. This year Jasmin delved into the world of VR in collaboration with musician Jonnine Standish with a large scale installation that premiered at Sydney Festival 2018. Ghost Train transforms the archetypal amusement park ride, once kitsch and childish, into a thrilling, sensual, psychological experience.Jasmin is also currently working on her first feature film, a screen adaptation of the novel The Burial by Courtney Collins. The Burial, is based on the story of the most wanted woman in Australia in 1921, Jessie Hickman, a female bushranger driven by her passion to be a free woman and live a free life.Jasmin is a successful commercial director represented by Photoplay Films.
