Jenny Leonhardt
Born in Texas and raised on the east coast, Jenny attended California Institute of the Arts outside Los Angeles before studying Shakespeare in London. She studied writing at Bryn Mawr College and has acted in film and television.KITCHEN HELP, was written and directed as part of a protest for immigration reform and against the declaration of war against Iraq in February 2003; it was her first produced feature screenplay. The film premiered at SXSW Film Festival in 2009 as part of a local Austin filmmaker's platform. A Texas native, she has completed several other stage and screenplays, including an adaptation of Jacob Wassermann's book Caspar Hauser, originally performed off-Broadway. The short ELOISE AT LARGE, about a young homeless woman, was shot in Temecula and Barstow, CA. Jenny is currently completing a documentary, LOVE FROM LOMPOC, developing a series and going into pre-production on a new film.
