Lola Rocknrolla

Lola Rocknrolla is a filmmaker, rock saxophone player, writer, director and producer. Lola Rocknrolla got her moniker by playing tenor sax and screaming into microphones for various bands across the US. She started directing rock videos which led to her first film “Dragzilla” in 2002. Since then she has made many films in her “Gaysploitation” genre including “Night of the Living Gay”, Nefertitty, Nefertitty in Space, Homo the Musical (off broadway), “Attack of the Yoga Zombies” and more. Her films have played worldwide and she got the “John Waters award” for best film in 2023. Lola is currently finishing “The Big Johnson”, her first documentary feature. In addition to her own work she has directed the Emmy award winning children's series "Biz Kids" for PBS, written for the Cooking Channel, worked various jobs for Viacom, LOGO, MTV, VH1, AMC and TV Land and directed multiple music videos.
