Molly Calliste is a writer and director based in New York City. She has written works in various formats, including poetry, prose and script. A collection of her poems has been published in a book titled “Solace”. Some of her scripts have been developed into short films, and showcased in various festivals. After studying filmmaking at New York Film Academy, Molly wrote and directed a short film “Linger”, offering a probing examination into the treatment of homosexuality in the U.S. military. The film was among the Official Selection at NewFilmmakers NY and Outside The Box Film Festival. Since then, Molly continues writing and directing works that address important issues and produce thought provoking impacts that linger with the audience. Her feature documentary film “Humanity Last: Refugees Still Hope” follows a group of volunteers in Calais, France, as they provide food, shelter and hope to refugees that are stranded at the border of France and England alter a harrowing journey. The film has won awards at numerous film festivals, and is being distributed by Factory Film Studios on streaming platforms Amazon and iTunes. Molly has also recently completed a narrative script that seeks to break down racial barriers. The script is currently in development with Monomyth Enchantment to become a feature film.
