Sara CF de Gouveia
Sara CF Gouveia is an award winning filmmaker based in Cape Town. Her mid-length documentary "Mama Goema" (55 min., 2011) won the award for Best SA Documentary at the TriContinental Film Festival 2011, screened at festivals worldwide and was broadcast on SABC. She was an alumnus of the Durban Film Mart 2014 Pitching Forum, IDFAcademy Summer School 2015 and 2017, Encounters Producers Lab 2015 and Rough Cut Lab and a Hot Docs Blue Ice Fellow with her first feature film "The Sound of Masks", which premiered at IDFA 2018 and was officially selected for the Marrakesh International Film Festival 2018. She is currently in development with the short documentary "Nawar: She Who Guards Herself"
