Shana Stein
Director Shana Stein is currently the Producing Director on the sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale, The Testaments, for Hulu where she is directing multiple episodes. Immediately following her engagement on The Testaments Shana will make a return to The Boys franchise to direct multiple episodes of Vought Rising the upcoming expansion of The Boys universe for Sony/ Amazon. Recently Shana completed directing an encore episode of The Boys, after one of her episodes was named #1 of the best 19 episodes on TV in 2024 by IndieWire. Shana also directed Obsession for Atomic Monster/Amazon which will air in 2026. Recent credits include The Hunting Party for NBC where she will be returning to direct in season 2, Hysteria! for Peacock, as well as Gen V Amazon. She has also directed multiple episodes of the western Joe Pickett for Paramount+ and Jack Ryan for Amazon. Prior to that, Shana completed an incredible run as Executive Producer and Director of multiple seasons of all four series in the immensely successful Power franchise on Starz. During her tenure, Shana Executive Produced six seasons of Power, two seasons of Ghost, two seasons of Raising Kanan and one season of Force. She has directed multiple episodes across all four series. Shana’s around the clock schedule often included producing three of the series concurrently, running multiple productions on location, and in three different cities.
In film, Shana produced Hell Ride, Executive Produced by Quentin Tarantino, and Independent Spirit Award nominated film, Restaurant starring Adrien Brody and Lauryn Hill.
Shana, who earned her BFA from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and her MFA from The American Film Institute, also served as Director of Development for Anonymous Content.
