Shirin Saghaie
Shirin Saghaie is a Washington, DC-based producer, screenwriter, and director. Born in Tehran, where she spent her formative years, and raised in Cologne, Shirin holds a Master of Fine Arts from American University, graduated from the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, and Drehbuchwerkstatt Munich.
She is the founder of Shirin Pictures LLC, a media company that specializes in writing and producing character-driven screenplays for film and series. Informed by her international upbringing, Shirin's work features multilingual, female-focused stories about the Iranian diaspora across Asia, Europe, and North America.
