From an early age Yara has always had a passion for storytelling. Not realizing it then, she started directing at an early age when she would create skits, dances, and audio recordings with her childhood friends and siblings. Yara studied acting for many years and has been mentored by LA's best, Robert Carnegie, Doug Warhit, and Jeff Goldblum to name a few. Having this experience is what strengthens her directing skills. She learned the craft of filmmaking by doing it hands on. She spent many years on various sets as a second unit director, first assistant director, producer, and script supervisor. "DEMISE" is a noir thriller, distributed by Gravitas Ventures. This is Yara's directorial debut in which she also wrote and produced. It has been featured on E! News, Access Hollywood, KTLA, CBS and more. DEMISE is available to watch on Roku, Tubi, VUDU, Amazon Freevee, Sling and Plex. With her most recent screenplay underway, Yara can't wait to direct her next feature film.
