Synopsis

AMARA, a failed actress who left Los Angeles for New York to “make it,” finds herself broke, dependent on her boyfriend, and humiliated by the grind

of anonymous auditions. When she’s replaced as the lead in an off broadway adaptation of”the seagual” by her more successful DOPpelganger and

understudY, MICHELLE, and publicly fired, desperation drives her to create an OnlyFans account. What begins as a half-ironic act of empowerment quickly becomes a descent into psychological and physical danger. As AMARA’S alter ego gains traction online, her real identity unravels — her leaked photos go viral, her boyfriend kicks her out, and after a drunken accident, she’s drawn into the orbit of a stranger who promises safety but leads

her deeper into chaos. When an online “fan” offers her money to meet, the encounter turns violent and horrifyingly public — live-streamed torture disguised as sex work performance. AmARA escapes, but the trauma, drugs, and paranoia collapse her reality. She ends on stage where she began: giving the same monologue as before — only now, she’s lived every word of it—And her grasp on reality isn’t as air tight… With a shocking, Poignant twist, the audience is left pondering the nature of our attention economy and one’S own INVOLVEMENT in it.
