Emily, a Texas freshman college student, discovers her best friend Mia’s miscarriage on campus, which they worry will be investigated as an abortion. Joined by Mia’s influencer roommate, Jess, the three friends have 24 hours to cross state lines to a clinic in New Mexico to save Mia’s life.

With only 24 hours and nowhere safe to turn in Texas, the two friends, along with Mia’s influencer roommate Jess, make a snap decision, they will cross state lines and drive to a clinic in New Mexico to save Mia’s life.
Along the way, the secrets of Mia’s miscarriage reveal themselves as they are pursued by Kane, an overzealous police officer whose real motive is protecting his son from being implicated in helping Mia. As Mia’s condition worsens and obstacles mount, Emily’s forced to recruit her disapproving Mormon aunt Annette, who, like them, is also hiding something. Now three becomes four on the desert roads to New Mexico, with Emily leading the way, determined not to lose another person she loves.

Due to popular demand, her first independent feature film Happy Holidays (2007) was digitally re-mastered in 2024 and recently re-released in theaters & Amazon Prime.
Sassy recently directed Jellysmack’s drama series Supermission, TikTok series Hot Mess, online commercials for Kraft, Budlight & Barbie, and is development for her next feature film a post-Roe Texas abortion road trip story, along with other film projects.
