After the Wedding follows newlywed Diego Diaz as he heads down to Miami Beach for a few weeks to finish his latest novel, but when he becomes emotionally intimate with a sexy bartender, he and his wife are left to examine the true state of their young marriage.
Claudia Cifuentes is an American screenwriter, director, and producer of Guatemalan descent. She wrote, directed, and produced After the Wedding, which screened at the Bahamas International, Big Apple, and Bushwick Film Festivals before securing streaming distribution. Through her banner Tropica Films, she is developing a slate of bold, Latina-led projects that champion fresh voices and underrepresented perspectives. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, she lives in Manhattan with her husband and their two young sons.
