ROYALLY SCREWED is a romantic comedy about Olivia, an independent woman who never imagined falling for a prince, and Prince Nicholas, a royal bound by expectation yet longing for something real. Sophia Setareh Kiapos is an Iranian-Greek American film director, writer, and producer whose work is marked by emotional sensitivity and a visually poetic approach. After graduating from LAMDA, she taught herself filmmaking by purchasing her first camera and beginning to make short films. Her work spans short films, commercials, branded content, dance projects, and a slate of feature films in development, including AREZOU, which was selected for Film Independent’s Fast Track and The Owl Screenwriting Lab in Athens, Greece. She recently made her feature directorial debut with ROYALLY SCREWED, based on a New York Times-bestselling novel and starring Academy-Award Nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo; the film is currently streaming on Amazon Prime and Passionflix. Alongside her work in film, she has directed over 40 dubbing and localization projects for Netflix, Amazon, and Disney. Sophia is based between Los Angeles and Athens, Greece.
