Erika Goyzueta

Erika Goyzueta is a filmmaker with a unique cultural background, having been raised in both Bolivia and New York City. She is a graduate of NYU TISCH School of the Arts where she studied film and television. Her early career includes being an associate producer on the acclaimed documentary Romantico (Sundance-Grand Jury Prize nom) and serving as a Wardrobe Supervisor on several Emmy-nominated TV series and feature films, including The Good Wife and Motherless Brooklyn. After the global pandemic, Erika shifted focus on her own creative work: a graphic novel concept inspired by her childhood in Bolivia and a lyrical short film. The vivid imagery and storytelling in the novel reflect the same visual richness she brings to her films.
In 2022, Erika directed VIDA, an experimental short film that earned several awards, including Best Experimental Film at the 2024 NYWIFT Online Shorts Film Festival. Her diverse projects reflect her passion for storytelling, visual creativity, and a deep connection to her cultural roots.
