Aminah Salaam is a Mother, Filmmaker, Educator and Entrepreneur. She received her Bachelors Degree from Howard University where she majored in Radio-TV-Film. After years of working on small productions for Radio Stations and her own company Abstrak Vision supporting local businesses, she began to spend a majority of her time teaching production skills to youth in under served communities encouraging self-expression and the use of marketable skills. Once she realized that her demographic had a large number of students with Special needs, she went on to receive her Masters in Special Education. She now teaches at a Middle School in Washington Heights. However she continues to be diligent in pursuing her gifts and talents in production when given the opportunity and develops her own projects when a lane is not provided for her. For Aminah Salaam it is imperative that she uses her voice to inspire children of color to achieve their dreams regardless of any deficits. More importantly she has birthed a strong-willed Daughter who motivates her to constantly strive to be the best version of herself.
