Programming

Film Fatales increases the talent pool for industry organizations looking to work with historically marginalized voices. Our Parity Pipeline initiative provides a direct pipeline for film festival programmers, production companies, funders and other film industry organizations to connect with directors from underrepresented communities in an effort towards more inclusive programming and hiring practices. We have developed relationships with hundreds of film festival programmers, investors, production companies, directing labs and other initiatives which support projects directed by marginalized filmmakers. Ongoing collaborations include the Sundance Institute, Tribeca Film Institute, IFP, SFFILM, NBC Universal, CBS, Warner Bros, Netflix and over 200 film festivals around the world. Through these outreach efforts, we make it easier for decision makers to connect with underrepresented directors and bring more diverse content to the screen.

Media

Film Fatales raises the visibility of marginalized directors and contributes to the conversation about parity in the entertainment industry. We publish a weekly newsletter and maintain active social media accounts which aim to be inclusive of women and non-binary filmmakers of all backgrounds. We focus on promoting positive content, building a diverse audience and educating the public about the path towards parity in film.
