Film Fatales facilitates monthly meetings in a dozen cities where women filmmakers can share resources, collaborate on projects and discuss topics relevant to their careers. We host public panel discussions, educational workshops, screenings and networking mixers throughout the year to bring attention to issues of gender parity and promote the work of women filmmakers to a wider audience. Over the past five years, Film Fatales has organized over one hundred events in collaboration with organizations such as Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, Hot Docs, IFP, UnionDocs, Film Independent, Women in Film, Women Make Movies, Fox Studios, and more.

Film Fatales increases the talent pool for industry organizations looking to work with more women. We have developed relationships with scores of programmers, funders, production companies, film festivals, directing labs and other initiatives which support projects directed by women. Ongoing collaborations include the Tribeca Film Institute, Sundance Institute, IFP, San Francisco Film Society, NBC Universal and over 75 film festivals around the world. Through these outreach efforts, we make it easier for decision makers to connect with women directors and bring more films directed by women to the screen.

Film Fatales works to raise the visibility of women directors and contribute to the conversation about parity in the entertainment industry. We maintain active social media accounts which aim to be inclusive of all women filmmakers and speak to a broad audience. We focus on promoting positive content about women filmmakers, building a diverse audience and educating the public about the path towards gender equality in the film industry. In addition, we maintain public lists of films directed by women that are currently in theaters, on television or available to stream online.
