Clara co-founded the creative studio, Coat of Arms and serves as its director, producer, and writer. She wrote, directed, and produced her first documentary, Born in a Ballroom, in 2020. The film premiered at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Clara directed the Webby award-winning 360˚ short film, I’m Still Kenny; the Webby nominated film, 6 Seconds: In My Own Words; and the multi-award-winning animated series entitled Lullaby Theories. She wrote the feature film, A Perfect Soldier which premiered at Cinequest in 2010 and enjoyed a long Festival tour, including screenings at Mountainfilm and The Frontline Club; and she co-created the animated short film Death Loves Life which premiered at the Cleveland International Film Festival.

Her work has received a Cannes Lion (Gold and Silver), a Webby (along with multiple nominations), three Excellence in Title Design nominations at SXSW, along with many film festival awards. Lehmann balances her personal work with producing video content for commercial clients like Google, Jaguar Land Rover, Marriott, Nickelodeon, and Salesforce.

Clara studied Sociology and Anthropology at Carleton College (Northfield, MN) before taking a semester of law at WVU (Morgantown, WV). She balances her professional work with community development and volunteering.
