Daviel's debut feature film, THE LADIES ALMANACK, previewed at THE MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART in Chicago, premiered at OUTFEST in 2017. The first feature film based on a book by famed modernist Djuna Barnes, The Almanack brings together a powerhouse cast from across disciplines and continents. Among them are Guinevere Turner (GO FISH, AMERICAN PSYCHO, THE L WORD, CHARLIE SAYS) Philosopher Hélène Cixous, Poet Eileen Myles, Author Terry Castle, artist & pleasure scholar SOSA, dancer Leslie Cuyjet, photographer and essayist Deborah Bright, and CARCERAL CAPITALISM author, Jackie Wang.
Daviel teamed up with her community during quarantine to produce a seven episode series called, THE LOVERS about risk, connection, spirituality and sex. THE LOVERS is currently in post-production.
Her recent work includes directing music videos for She Her Sir and Delusional Records, and a short super 8 psychedelic thriller, currently touring festivals.
Her productions unite her fine art background (MFA- SCHOOL OF THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO) with her DIY politics to create radical utopias that center the outcast and challenge the status quo. Daviel founded the screening series, L.M.N.O.P: Lesbian Movie Night Ongoing Project, now in its 12th year.
