Deja Brandeis

Deja Brandeis is a filmmaker and co-owner of Nashville production company Omega Pictures, LLC, and has taught digital film and video production at the college level since 2009. After producing short films on a shoestring in Los Angeles and Boston, Deja worked as Coordinating Producer for the film Do It Again, a feature-length documentary about The Kinks that gained national and international film-festival recognition, and aired on PBS. She went on to direct and produce the documentary feature Hell or High Water: The Story of the Nashville Rollergirls. It was an official selection at the 2012 Nashville Film Festival, and was exhibited by Middle Tennessee State University's Students Active for Feminism and Equality. In addition to documentary work, Deja has produced narrative award-winners and festival official selections, and music videos including Danny Gokey’s hit Hope in Front of Me. Deja holds a B.A. in TV, Film, and Media Studies from California State University in Los Angeles, and an M.A. in Visual and Media Arts from Emerson College in Boston. (City: Nashville)
