Devyne Johnson is a content creator, screenwriter, film director and producer from Charlotte, NC. As the owner of Artefaekts Ent., an Atlanta based motion picture production company, Devyne works with a diverse team to create original content in the form of short films, animations, feature films and live theatrical entertainment. MOSAIC, written, produced and directed by Devyne, was Artefaekts’ first feature-length film. In 2016 she led her team to independently distribute the film. MOSAIC premiered in theaters, in 7 major cities nationwide. With 12+ years of experience in the film industry and a diverse background in marketing, public relations, casting, production management and costume design, Devyne is credited for working on films and television shows such as Atlanta (FX), Stranger Things (Netflix), Halt & Catch Fire (AMC) and the Ride Along franchise. She has worked under celebrated producers and directors such as Donald Glover (Childish Gambino), Shawn Levy, Will Packer, Rob Hardy, Kevin Hart, Ice Cube and DeVon Franklin to name a few. In 2016, “What Kings are Made of,” a short film Devyne directed, was commissioned by The Content Farm and NPR (National Public Radio). Her film was ultimately featured in the musical variety TV show, “Live @9:30,” which airs nationally on PBS (Public Broadcast Systems). Devyne enjoys volunteering with initiatives that glorify the strength of women, serving the homeless and mentoring at-risk youth.
